Civil Wedding Ceremonies at Castle Borghese take place on a paved terrace with beautiful sea views near the Castle or in the Castle’s Gardens or inside the Castle in case of inclement weather. Civil Ceremony performed by the local Mayor or substitute. All chairs and white chair covers, table for the Celebrant and tablecloth , ivory carpet for the aisle are provided by the Castle.

It was built by Napoleone Orsini (1470-1485) and among its most famous guests have been the king of France Charles VIII, Pope Sixtus IV and Marcantonio Colonna.

Castle Odescalchi has hosted the wedding of famous Martin Scorsese with Isabella Rosellini and lately, during November 2006, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding. Famous Italian designer Giorgio Armani personally designed the bride and groom’s attire. The five-tiered chocolate wedding cake was covered in handmade chocolate roses and the groom serenaded his bride with “You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling”.
